In the beginner Improv class the focus is on building confidence and fostering a supportive environment for exploration through laughter. Through group exercises and games you will be introduced to the foundations of improv such as “Yes, And”, spontaneity, active listening, being present in the moment, self awareness, vulnerability, taking risks, making and accepting offers. This class is all about stepping out of your comfort zone, trusting yourself and failing joyfully.

Professional improvisor and actor Margret Nyfor is coming to Squamish to facilitate this mixed level improv workshop titled 'Simple Fun Stories'. Margret will give you the tools to tell a simple and clear story on stage; which is crucial for improv success. You will play with the five main elements needed to tell a simple story. You will also explore character growth and the need for strong, clear, logical offers. Finally, you will also play with stakes and create endings for stories.
