Through the Youth Scholarship and new programs, Squamish Arts looks to enhance access to arts and cultural opportunities.
Providing opportunities for development, collaboration and mentorship through programs like Amped in the Park.
Working with local partners to create opportunities for youth to participate and engage in arts and culture.
Squamish Arts coordinates a variety of programs that aim to provide access to and engagement in arts and culture for youth. This has resulted in the installation of over six youth created pieces of public, skills development in public art design, film production, music, and passing on of artistic knowledge and heritage from the Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Nation.
We’re proud to have partnered with Recreation Services, BC Arts Council, the Province of BC, Squamish Nation, Climb and Conquer, RBC Canada, the Public Art Committee, and the Squamish Home Depot to have offered these programs to hundreds of youth.
