To celebrate National AccessAbility Week (May 26 – June 1), the Squamish Public Library and the District of Squamish’s Accessibility Committee invite you to a screening of the film Crip Camp!
The screening will be followed by a discussion – everyone is welcome to stay and chat but you are welcome to leave after the film is over. Popcorn and snacks will be provided!
The film is rated R for some language, including sexual references. Teens and adults are encouraged to attend.
There will be accommodations available at the event including closed captions, all-genders washroom, wheelchair access building and screening room, quiet corner away from crowd, air purifier and masks welcome.

Is this too frivolous? is a thought provoking exhibition featuring the works of two distinct artists, Asta Kovanen and Marlene Lowden, each offering their unique perspective on the intersections between beauty, urgency, and surrealism in the face of climate change.
In this enjoyable and laid-back workshop, you'll delve into simple stitches, including sashiko, and learn various mending techniques. Bring along your jeans, jean jacket, or any other textile item you'd like to mend or embellish. Bring scissors and a piece of fabric that inspires you, or you can use the materials provided (the workshop fee includes most materials and supplies).
June is Indigenous month in Canada, and to help us celebrate this year, mind blowing Canadian alternative rock band Hotel Mira has thankfully agreed to grace our stage. Formed in Vancouver in 2010 the band consists of Charlie Kerr on vocals, Mike Noble on bass, Clark Grieve on guitar and keyboards, and Cole George on drums. If you have never had the magical experience of seeing them live, now is your chance! Prepare to fall in love. Tickets will go fast, so get yours quick!
