The Ferry Building will be hosting an exhibition by West Vancouver's graduating secondary students, continuing an annual tradition that has endured since 2004.
Through contemporary dance, live music, and multimedia projections, RHYTHMS will take the audience on a journey exploring rhythms in music, in the body and in nature.
The Sea to Sky Dance Collective will perform alongside award-winning Blue Mountain Beatbox and special musical guests: Amir Fishman (drums), Barb Cook (violin) and Sandra Ashmore (oboe).
Proceeds from RHYTHMS will be donated to CAMPS (Community Access Music Project Society ), a local organization that offers full and partial bursaries to anyone who is a resident of the Sea to Sky Corridor and would like to participate in music lessons or music therapy sessions. CAMPS strives to make music education accessible for everyone in the Sea to Sky, regardless of social or economic circumstance.

Me Made May started as a challenge for home sewers to wear as many self made items as they could in the month of May to show them off, learn about their own style, and repair, mend, and alter their hand-made items.

In this workshop, we will demonstrate two acrylic pour techniques and then pick a favourite technique and implement it on a 12"x16" canvas to create a masterpiece! No prior experience necessary.
Women Artists: A Lecture Series in the gallery featuring professors from Capilano University
Contemporary Indigenous bead artists express powerful matrilineal legacies of beauty and resilience that are rooted in ancient worldviews. This talk explores how Tlingit artists, using various materials, honour historical beading methods. These practices symbolize cultural perseverance and ties to the land, despite efforts to control and assimilate Indigenous peoples through laws and institutions.
In this traditional competition, artists must compose, paint, complete and frame (or finish) a piece of art outdoors “en plein air.”
Works will be judged and fabulous prizes donated by Opus Art Supplies will be awarded. Participants may exhibit and sell their art created during the competition from 4 to 7 p.m. on the day of the challenge.

To celebrate National AccessAbility Week (May 26 – June 1), the Squamish Public Library and the District of Squamish’s Accessibility Committee invite you to a screening of the film Crip Camp!
The screening will be followed by a discussion – everyone is welcome to stay and chat but you are welcome to leave after the film is over. Popcorn and snacks will be provided!
The film is rated R for some language, including sexual references. Teens and adults are encouraged to attend.
There will be accommodations available at the event including closed captions, all-genders washroom, wheelchair access building and screening room, quiet corner away from crowd, air purifier and masks welcome.
