This meetup will be a conversation about how cities can foster biodiversity in open spaces, led by salmon biologist and urban planning enthusiast Auston Chhor.
Using various spaces around Downtown Squamish as a backdrop, we'll discuss how changes to land use policies and community-led restoration efforts can help blur the line between urban and natural areas.

In the spirit of creative sharing within our community, you are invited to practice your artisitic expression with an audience of supportive ears, in a safe inclusive environment.
OG hosts Nico and Amanda from the legendary Zephyr Cafe are returning to help and support you and probably make a few jokes.

Amped in the Park is a program by youth for the whole community. This exciting program brings emerging artists, youth and older, to the stage to hone their craft in front of Squamish’s most enthusiastic audience!

In this traditional competition, artists must compose, paint, complete and frame (or finish) a piece of art outdoors “en plein air.”
Works will be judged and fabulous prizes donated by Opus Art Supplies will be awarded. Participants may exhibit and sell their art created during the competition from 4 to 7 p.m. on the day of the challenge.

All day Performers, Vendors, Exhibit Competition viewing (Judging is Friday Sept 6), Activities, Zucchini Races, Hay Wagon Ride, Baby Goats, Mini Golf and more.
Come join us for a fun-filled evening of communal collage at the Brackendale Art Gallery!
We'll pop on an old teen movie (PG13) and supply the paper, glue, sissors, and some materials to be deconstructed.
You'll bring your creativity and some old magazines, photos, or whatever you have to make your masterpiece! Bring some for yourself, and maybe some to share (that old wrapping paper you've been saving?)
Our kitchen and bar will be open to keep you fed and watered.
The stakes are low, and the fun is high. We can't wait to see you there!

The Ferry Building Gallery is proud to announce fragment/connect featuring Tatjana Mirkov-Popvicki’s abstract landscapes and Russell Hackney’s ceramics.
In this workshop, you will use your ideas, thoughts, dreams, and wishes to create a vision board. Using collage, you simply see, cut, and arrange. Embrace possibility with a personal, visual reminder of your goals.
There are no rules to follow and you don’t have to know what to put on your vision board ahead of time – unless you want to!
No art experience is needed to create an inspiring vision board. This workshop is intended for adults.
