Una Polenova, work is inspired by the European and Canadian Impressionists known for their colourful paintings of country, people, places and community. Their impressionistic use of colour infused new life and freedom into the art world and became as unique as the personal signature of the artist.
Polenova’s style simply states her personal appreciation for the natural beauty of places and subjects that surround us. She integrates the art communities of Vancouver, Surrey, New Westminster and coastal regions of White Rock, North Vancouver and Squamish. The body of her original work (acrylic on canvas) is displayed online at the: www.PolenovaGallery.com.
Polenova, born in Vancouver and raised in Richmond, BC has a Ukrainian- Russian ancestry that integrated throughout Europe, Ireland, USA, and Canada in the early 40’s. She now resides in Brackendale Squamish with family where life is simply stated from the stroke of a brush, and a walk with their dog, Sami.
