Born in Richmond, Una enjoyed expressing a talent for painting and dance in her early childhood days. Her love for the arts inspired a career in Graphic Design and Visual Arts in the mid 1980’s. Today Polenova’s paintings record a history of the land and sea to sky of beautiful British Columbia. Impressions of the seasons, life on the rivers, oceans and mountains are the inspiration behind her work.
Now residing in Squamish with her family and a dog named Sami she explores local lakes, mountains and trails, hiking, biking, and swimming. Life is much more rewarding, peaceful, and playful. ‘You’ll see by the colourful renditions of a beautiful environment that shouldn’t be taken for granted but remembered.’
