Originally from Ontario, Crystal was drawn to the West Coast by the mountains. Her movement and time in the mountains inspire her vibrant mountainscapes. She is an avid rock climber, split boarder, and alpinist based in Squamish, BC. Her mediums of choice are acrylic and gouache paints.
Painting became an important outlet during her complicated recovery post-concussion; for some time, it was her only way to explore the mountains. Today she continues her creative practice and can take in new inspiration from the mountain adventures she has returned to with a renewed sense of gratitude.
