With experience in a variety of mediums, local artist Maureen Brown will often return to oil painting, which complements her rich, naturalistic style while she explores the relationship between light and colour. Trained in the Twickenham School of Art, Maureen was employed as a commercial artist before immigrating to Canada. Here, her garden and the ever-changing
landscape of the Sea-to-Sky became a reoccurring subject in her work alongside scenes from her travels abroad. Exhibiting in group and solo shows throughout the West Coast, Maureen has received many accolades and is honoured to once again participate in the Squamish Art Walk.
