Leah Tan Passmore

Leah Tan Passmore (She/Her) is a Filipino-Canadian multidisciplinary emerging artist based in Vancouver and Squamish, BC. She earned a BA in Visual Art from the University of British Columbia where she focused on photography, painting, printmaking and art history. Currently, she is in the Photography Certificate program at Emily Carr University of Art & Design while planning to pursue graduate studies in fine art. Recent exhibitions include the Squamish Art Walk, Artisan Gallery, Hatch Art Gallery and Centre A.

She has been living part-time in Squamish since after the pandemic where she enjoys hiking, paddle boarding and mountain biking; as well as skiing as much as she can in Whistler. Her artwork is a direct result of the west coast lifestyle she lives and works in on the unceded traditional territories of the Squamish, Musqueam, and Tsleil-Waututh Nations.
