Jocelyn Popowich

An expressive, intuitive and bursts of colour visual artist discovering her place in this big world of artistic expression. Inspired by the extreme contrast and colours of the coastal rainforest, Jocelyn’s mixed media art reflects everything she surrounds herself in. With a touch of conservation, resourcefulness and integration, she creates a complimentary balance between two deep-seated, fiery passions.

Jocelyn’s art creatively infuses an avid love of climbing with a passion for the mountains into each piece. Her artistic creations display very unique styles.

The most prevalent climbing influenced style is her rope art. Each piece is created by recycling and repurposing old, retired climbing materials such as rope, slings, harnesses, etc. into beautiful landscape art. Movement, dreamy flow and epic texture is created in these pieces.

Secondary, are her vibrant, pop of colour mountain landscapes using washy splattered watercolour with ink overlays. Like walking into a dream of brilliant colour!
