Over the past two decades, Steve Dawson has become a key figure in the Canadian music scene, blending natural talent with immense dedication. Whether captivating audiences with his dynamic live performances or producing standout work in the studio, Dawson constantly pushes his craft to new heights.
Originally from Vancouver and now based in Nashville, Steve excels as a solo artist, sideman, and producer. This show, presented by The Brackendale Art Gallery Society with support from The Vancouver Community Foundation, promises an engaging experience. The BAG’s kitchen and bar will be open for dinner and drinks before the show. Seating will be theatre-style, with chairs and possibly some tables.
Instruments welcome for participation. This is a free event - come out to listen and enjoy some amazing traditional music.

Session: A casual gathering of musicians who have come together to play traditional music, a practice that has been done in Ireland, Scotland, and England for centuries.
From the West Coast of British Columbia, Canada, Jocelyn Pettit is a vibrant fiddle player, stepdancer, singer, and composer. As a multicultural artist, with Scottish, Irish, French and Malaysian heritage, Jocelyn integrates the Celtic and folk traditions of her roots into her shows and compositions
AHRF is a raw independent alternative rock band from Squamish, BC. They pull inspiration from 2000s alternative rock and a variety of Canadian punk bands. AHRF’s lyrics are poignant, sarcastic, and self deprecating focused on a feeling or problem the narrator is struggling with. Muscular choruses, blistering guitars, and an intense rhythm section are all part the AHRF sound. AHRF writes, records, produces, mixes, and performs all their own music.

This is an intimate evening of erotica, sexy storytelling and sex education hosted in an LGBTQ+ friendly environment with fellow Queer community members. With that being said - everyone is more than welcome to attend.
Stay tuned after the show for an evening of sex education designed for those of us from the 2SLGBTQIA+ community.
*As the title suggests, this is not a family-friendly event. There will be swearing, sexually explicit themes and maybe even some moaning.

Come join us at Brackendale Art Gallery for a fun-filled afternoon of carving pumpkins, and some fun competition! Get creative and show off your carving skills while enjoying the company of fellow pumpkin enthusiasts.
RSVP to reserve your spot. We'll have pumpkins on site for purchase, but you are welcome to bring your own as well if there is a gourd perfect for your creation!
Participates can vote on their favourites, as will those attending our Haunted Art Gallery event the evening ofOctober 26th. A winner will be accounced on October 27, and will receive a $50.00 gift certificate to the Brackendale Art Gallery!
Whether you're a seasoned pro or a first-time carver, this event is perfect for all ages.
Two exciting nights, October 26th and 31st, will be the first annual BAG Haunted Art Gallery. Explore the historic facility to see some spooky Halloween sights! Proceeds from ticket sales will go towards growing the haunted house into an annual community event for all ages.
Families with little witches and wizards are encouraged to attend between 5:00 pm and 7 pm.
Mature monsters are encouraged to attend between 7:30 pm and 10:00 pm.
Tickets are time-entry.
Our Kitchen and Bar will be open all evening in our Main Stage area.

Jerry Weldon is a leading figure in Soul Jazz, embodying the hard-blowing, tenor legends of contemporary American Jazz. A New York native, Weldon joined Harry Connick Jr.'s big band as a charter member and featured soloist in 1990, also appearing daily on Connick’s TV program, HARRY.
Cory Weeds, renowned for his impeccable swing on tenor and alto sax, has recorded over 20 albums, showcasing his dynamic playing on both hard-swinging tunes and gentle ballads. He has performed with top jazz artists like Bill Charlap and Joey DeFrancesco, and his fearless approach to diverse musical situations always delivers standout performances.
Come by the Brackendale Art Gallery to watch a curated collection of scary short films! Some fantastic filmmakers will showcase their suspenseful, dark, and, at times, funny movies.

The Long & Short is a live storytelling event, where ordinary people share their true and personal stories related to a theme. The events take place on the last Wednesday of every month. This month’s theme is: Fright of your Life. The Long & Short is a beginner friendly space and welcomes new storytellers. You can sign up in advance, bring a story on the night or, just come along to listen.
The event is entry by donation - pay what you can via eventbrite or with cash on the door.
Monty Biggins "Little Biggs Band" is binging some great party music - hot jazz, americana, blues and soul music. He has performed well over 3000 gigs in the Fraser Valley, Sea to Sky & Lower Mainland of BC, since 2010. This is a free event!

2x Irish music award-winning nonbinary westcoast artist 'q' (they/them), formerly Qristina Bachand is a consummate performer who is clearly at ease on stage, & they are known for their powerful fiddle & captivating vocals. Their contagious energy and love of Folk and Celtic music are always at the forefront as they bless audiences with energetic and spirited performances which showcase their propensities for fiddling as well as song & story-sharing.
