Squamish Arts basic digital photography for kids

Cost: $212

Age: 8-12 years
7 sessions
at 1 hour each
Location: The 55 Activity Centre

In this class, students will work with professional photographer, Vairdy Frail and will learn the basics of photography including: history and photographers toolkit, camera settings, exposure, focusing, composition, lighting and posing. The class will end with an ‘art show’ where kids can invite their family and friends to come see their work.

*The class fee includes two 11 x 14 prints the students get to keep

Students will need to bring their own cameras. A Digital SLR or Mirrorless camera, old point-and-shoot digital camera or camera phone will work.  For Students who have access to a DSLR camera that has manual capabilities, we recommend the DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPHY FOR KIDS 2.0 – DSLR & MANUAL MODE COURSE.
