Theresa Columbus is a self-taught artist whose passion and natural ability has captured the attention of many, and garnered awards and invitations to unique artistic programs throughout the Sea-to-Sky where she was born, raised, and still resides. Her work is predominantly semi-abstract impressionistic with a dash of surrealism; working primarily with oil and acrylic paints, she creates art almost entirely from her heart. She chooses bold colour combinations with gestural brush strokes to support conveying emotion.
Theresa has participated in several Art Battle competitions and in June 2022, went on to the national semi-finals. She’s also visible in her community through her charitable donations and participation in various art exhibitions within Squamish and Vancouver. As an aside, she’s a huge fan of bedazzling her crocs.
