Hazel Zhang

Hazel Yuhang Zhang, a Vancouver-based interdisciplinary artist, brings a diverse background in visual arts and design to her work. Holding a Bachelor of Fine Art with a major in visual arts from The University of British Columbia, her foundation in the Department of Art History, Visual Art & Theory is evident. Hazel’s creative journey is marked by exhibitions like the 2023 Vancouver Outsider Arts Festival, Art 4 Life, and the UBC BFA/BA Visual Art Graduating Exhibition, where her distinct perspective shines. As a published illustrator, her contributions appear in SAD MAG and VASALINE. Passionate about sharing artistic insights, Hazel has led workshops and artist talks, including the Kids Cyanotype Workshop at Fresh Roots, Beginner Cyanotype Workshop at Slice of Life, and an artist talk at the UBC AHVA Gallery.
