Locarno is the Latin project of JUNO Award winning musician, Tom Landa, one of the founding member of The Paperboys. Like him, the music is equal parts Mexican and Canadian. Tom was born and raised in Mexico City, and moved to Canada in his teens. In 2006, he was awarded a Canada Council Grant to study traditional Mexican Music in Veracruz, Mexico. Tom spent his days learning the jarana (an 8 string guitar).

A 2-time Juno and 7-time Maple Blues Award winner, de Keyzer delivers electrifying performances that span his award-winning catalogue and timeless blues, rock, and soul classics. With a sound rooted in Chicago blues, British blues rock, and Southern soul, his playing is both masterful and deeply authentic—shaped by years performing alongside legends like Bo Diddley, Otis Rush, and Etta James.
