Inspired by Einstein’s Dreams by Alan Lightman, TEMPUS is a collaboration between the Sea to Sky Dance Collective and composer Michael K. Hewitt, director of Create-Able Arts Society. Blending original music and contemporary dance, the production explores imagined worlds where time shifts, loops, races, or stands still—revealing emotional truths about how we live, connect, and make meaning. TEMPUS invites audiences on a powerful journey through sound and motion. Proceeds support the Sea to Sky Hospice Society, whose work honours time in its most profound form by supporting individuals and families through life’s final transitions with dignity, compassion, and care.

Tom was born and raised in Mexico City, and moved to Canada in his teens. In 2006, he was awarded a Canada Council Grant to study traditional Mexican Music in Veracruz, Mexico. Tom spent his days learning the jarana (an 8 string guitar).
