Some say that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery. Does your child love Eric Carle’s illustrations? How about Barbara Reid? In this class, instructor Mary-Margaret Pilling will begin by reading a beloved picture book to get children’’s creative juices going before moving on and encouraging them to create an art piece in the style of the book’s illustrator, which will of course look different for each child. There is no right or wrong in art! Just as there’s no reason to delay cultivating the next generation of picture book illustrators. Meet other parents and children for a morning of books and artful play.
