Kieran’s introduction to the world was one of contrast; a youth spent between the back alleys of East Van and a seasonal migration to the shores of the Salish Sea.
His work looks to celebrate the coexistence of differences, the complex dynamics that shape the Coast Mountains—a place held in the tension between states; wet and dry, new and old, dark and light, rot and rebirth. The cycles can be brutal, but the rhythm is comforting.
