Alecia Childs

Throughout her life as a creative, Alecia Childs has used different materials and mediums to explore sexuality, humour, and pop culture. What began as a career as an award-winning NailArtist evolved into a means of dealing with personal hardships, and the importance of her work to her was established after surviving a battle with a rare cancer. Her colourful paintings capture her optimistic nature, vibrant spirit, and cheeky attitude, with nods to her biggest inspirations,Roy Lichtenstein and Frida Kahlo. Alecia is currently creating in Squamish, BC where she was born and raised.
