ArtWalk Artist Registration

Squamish ArtWalk dates July 1-28th, 2023

Register for the Squamish ArtWalk to display your artwork in local businesses! Participation is free and memberships are not a requirement.

Deadline for the form submission is Monday, May 29, 2023 at 11:59 pm.

*Please note that each venue will need to fill out the "Artwalk Venue Application" seperately.

Please make sure your bio is correct and updated. It will be printed and displayed during ArtWalk. Once submitted through this form, no further changes or revisions to bios will be made. The artist is responsible to ensure all the information they provide is correct and current. If you have any issues uploading your bio below, please email it to info@squamishartscouncil.com.

Please upload 3-6 images in JPG format (The maximum size of a photo is 5MB). If your photos are larger that 5MB please re-size them or email them separately to info@squamishartscouncil.com. These images will be used on our website and in our marketing promotions so please make sure that they are good quality.

1. The Artist agrees to make their works available for display during the full term of the ArtWalk, i.e. July 1-28th, 2023.

2. The Artist is responsible for preparing their works for display in a professional manner, and for providing hanging hardware, supports, pedestals and other materials.

3. The Artist is responsible for providing adequate labour to assist venue to hang/install the works in a safe and professional manner and is responsible for arranging a drop off time and installation time arranged with the curator and venue.

4. The Artist is responsible for insuring their own art work. Squamish Arts, ArtWalk volunteers, venue owners and staff will not assume any responsibility for loss, theft or damage during the exhibition of art works.

5. The Artist agrees to remove their works from the display areas and/or storage areas no later than 5:00 pm on the last scheduled day of the showing period - July 28, 2023.

6. The Artist will personally be responsible for all art work sales and will be notified, if the venue takes any percentage from sales.

7. The Artist is responsible for taking all necessary steps to establish and protect any and all copyright associated with their submission, and Squamish Arts, ArtWalk supporters, and sponsors, or venue have no obligations with respect to copyright.

8. The Artist agrees to act as an ambassador of the ArtWalk and promote it through their personals contacts, webpages and social media.

9. By participating the Artist agrees to conduct him or herself in a professional manner when interacting with its ArtWalk business as well as the public in regards to the ArtWalk. (Failure to do so will result in the removal of the artist's work from the venue and from the ArtWalk program).

10. The artists agree that their first and last name, as well as their contact information will be given to the venue in which their art work will be displayed.

11. The artist agrees that the Squamish Arts may use their name, images, and artist bio in ArtWalk promotional materials.

12. The Artist acknowledges that all information submitted through this form including their uploaded artist biography will be considered final and printed for ArtWalk. Please make sure all information is correct as no further changes or revisions will be made to artist bios, websites, or contact information after this form is submitted. The artist is responsible to make sure all this information is correct.

Community Event Calendar

Terms & Conditions

Event Eligibility: Only events related to public art and cultural activities located in Squamish, BC will be considered for inclusion in the calendar. The event should align with the purpose and focus of Squamish Art’s mission and vision.

Submission Accuracy: The submitter is responsible for providing accurate and up-to-date information about the event, including the event title, date, time, location, description, and any additional relevant details.

Ownership and Permissions: By submitting an event to the calendar, the submitter confirms that they have the necessary rights and permissions to promote the event and its associated content, including any images or multimedia files.

Event Approval: Submission does not guarantee automatic inclusion in the public art calendar. The calendar administrators reserve the right to review and approve each event before it is published. Approved events will be added to the calendar in a timely manner.

Editing and Removal: The calendar administrators reserve the right to edit event details, including the event title, description, date, time, and location, to ensure accuracy and consistency. The administrators also reserve the right to remove an event from the calendar at any time without prior notice.

Pricing Guidelines: Submitters must either be a member or pay a non-refundable fee of $10 for each event submitted. Membership details and fee payment instructions will be provided separately.

Public Accessibility: The public art calendar is available to the general public. By submitting an event, the submitter acknowledges that the event details will be visible to anyone accessing the calendar.

Content Guidelines: Event submissions must adhere to the guidelines of respectful and inclusive language. The calendar administrators reserve the right to reject or modify event submissions that contain offensive, discriminatory, or inappropriate content.

Liability: The calendar administrators are not responsible for any inaccuracies, errors, or omissions in the event details provided by the submitter. The submitter agrees to hold the administrators harmless from any claims or liabilities arising from the inclusion or exclusion of an event in the calendar.

Data Privacy: Personal information collected during the event submission process will be handled in accordance with applicable data protection laws and the privacy policy of the public art calendar.

Modifications to Terms and Conditions: The calendar administrators may update or modify these terms and conditions at any time. It is the responsibility of the submitter to review the terms periodically and ensure compliance.

By submitting an event to the public art calendar, the submitter agrees to comply with these terms and conditions.
