Marysa Lague is a scientist and mountain landscape artist born and raised in BC. Her painting style is inspired by the art of the Group of Seven, and by the rugged Rocky, Columbia, and Coast Mountain landscapes of western Canada. She paints with acrylics on canvas and features bold, whimsical colours. She uses painting as an outlet from her “day job” as an atmospheric & climate scientist and university professor, and as a way to connect with the outdoors when she can’t go hiking.
