Growing up on the territory of the Syilx Okanagan People, Keely started making art at a young age. In elementary school, they began painting in watercolours with a focus on wildlife and later expanded to include landscapes and portraiture in acrylics and pencil. In 2015, Keely moved to Skxwxu7mesh territory and continued making art when time allows during the busy years of raising a family.
Keely’s work is a celebration of the lands and waters around them in vibrant colour. No matter the medium, Keely enjoys the deep connection and problem solving that is necessary when rendering the world onto paper.
