Born and raised in North Vancouver and currently residing in Squamish, Eileen Walsh is just starting her career as a self-taught coloured pencil artist.
Eileen finds most of the inspiration for her art in her own backyard. Continually fascinated by the biodiversity within British Columbia’s forests, her work focuses on finding beauty in the small things that often go unnoticed.
Her artistic style of realism brings attention to the complexity and interconnectedness of nature. A collector of small branches, lichen and moss from forest wanderings give inspiration to her large-scale coloured pencil drawings.
