What is Amped in the Park?
Amped is free, community performance series programmed every Thursday evening during summer. The events are powered by a volunteer team that is provided mentorship and education on sound engineering and live music production, on professional equipment.

Who performers at Amped in the park?
Amped is specifically geared towards giving local emerging artists an opportunity to perform in front of an audience. We welcome people who have very little experience onstage, to experienced performers who want to promote their new music, to local legends who want to give back to the community.

PLEASE NOTE THAT WE PRIORITIZE LOCAL TALENT FROM THE SEA TO SKY REGION.
–
NEW/EMERGING ARTIST SLOTS
All we request is that you consider yourself an emerging artist and that you come with your own instruments. There are typically 2-3 of these slots each night, with set times ranging from 15-30 minutes. We try to curate the performance line-ups so we can match genres and provide opportunities for as many artists as possible. Please note that this music event series offered for free to the community and does not profit from the events. These time slots, at this time, are unfortunately unpaid.

HEADLINER SLOTS
Each evening features a “Headliner”, with a time slot ranging from 45-60 minutes. This slot does provide a small honorarium, fed from Squamish Arts grants. If you are specifically interested in a headliner slot, please indicate so on your application. Note that these spots are highly competitive and for all slots, we do prioritize local talent from the Sea to Sky region.
