SUMMARY:Woodworking Summer Camp
DESCRIPTION:Start your woodworking journey at Create Makerspace! \nParticipants will make a traditional indigenous bent wood box with guidance from woodworker Matthew Williams\, our guest from Squamish Nation. Other projects include making a birdhouse using our laser cutter and other small creative projects designed to orientate and introduce woodworking skills. \nThe camp will be led by Jason Bigelow\, who is motivated by giving the next generation the practical skills inspiration they need to thrive. He’s particularly passionate about supporting 2SLGBTQ+ youth and those at risk. \nClass is limited to 8 students as we have two instructors teaching this week. There are no pre-requisites\, but your kid should be able to follow safety instructions\, and be careful with sharp objects.

Growing up in the small town of Vernon\, BC\, Canada\, Aidan Andrews\, Carson Bassett\, and Nolan Bassett started out playing in cover bands before shifting to writing their own material. Now 24 years old\, in Vancouver\, with a full album and EP under their belt\, the members of daysormay have no intention of slowing down. \nThe group has connected with 3-time Grammy and Juno award winning producer Chin Injeti (Dr. Dre\, Drake\, Eminem\, Aloe Blacc\, Anderson. Paak) and T-Minus (Lil Wayne\, Drake\, Kendrick Lamar\, The Weeknd) for their next full-length album\, MODERATION\, set to release in 2024. \nMODERATION will be released to the world on The Orchard distributed label\, TAG Music. Her earnest songwriting and musicality connects deeply to her audiences. Based in Vancouver\, BC\, SIESKI is a dedicated songwriter and performer\, releasing music independently since 2019. SIESKI (see-ess-kee) is a phonetic combo of the word ‘sea’ (SI)- as in the ocean and ‘key’ (KI)- as in the keys of a piano.
