SUMMARY:LIVE MUSIC ON THE PATIO with MARC CHARRON
DESCRIPTION:Welcome to LIVE MUSIC ON THE PATIO at the Brackendale Art Gallery! \nMARC CHARRON \nMarc recorded his newest album over the course of the last year at Bryan Adams studio with some of Vancouver and Nashville’s best musicians. The songs sound timeless and of the moment like Tom Petty and the War on Drugs. One has a classic Willie Nelson vibe and one a Blue Rodeo feel. These are classic Marc Charron jams. \nAll of Marc’s albums are available on streaming sites or for purchase on Bandcamp. \nMarc will be performing his unique one man band setup for this patio show. \nwww.marccharronmusic.com \nNote: Unfortunately\, we don’t have an elevator. Access to the patio is via a set of outdoor or indoor stairs.

SUMMARY:Solo Artist Exhibition: Dear Earth\, A Love Letter
DESCRIPTION:Solo Art Exhibition: Dear Earth\, A Love Letter.\n————————————————————————————-\n🗓️ Opening Reception: Monday\, July 21st | Exhibition Dates: July 21st – Sept 29th\, 2025 \n⏱️ Time: 7:00PM – 9:00PM \n📍 Location: The Brackendale Art Gallery \n🎟️ Tickets: Reserve your FREE ticket on eventbrite \n————————————————————————————-\n🌿 Meet The Artist:\nNat Tuke is an artist and graphic designer living in Sḵwx̱wú7mesh/Squamish\, BC. Her art is heavily inspired by those ‘This is it’ moments – that perfect wave; the fleeting alpine glow; a setting sun glittering on a glassy ocean. \nNat is very aware of the fragility of the natural world and the important role it has in our lives\, and believes strongly in the power of art as a means to convey this message. Our environment is under threat and our climate is in crisis. In her paintings though\, she chooses to celebrate and cherish the beauty of the natural world as a great gift that has been given to us; that must be preserved and protected. \n✨ About The Exhibit: \nThis body of work is a love letter to the living world\, honouring the rich biodiversity of British Columbia’s sea-to-sky region — where forests\, mountains\, oceans\, and wildlife live in delicate harmony. These acrylic paintings\, rich with movement and dreamlike colour\, are accompanied by poetry that reflects on our deep and necessary bond with nature. This is a love letter\, but also a call: To love nature fiercely\, to notice\, to protect it. \nThe earth is speaking. Are we listening? 🌎 \n————————————————————————————-\nAs always\, the opening reception is free to attend\, and the show is free to view during oporating hours and evening events! \nBy attending this event\, you agree that you may be photographed or filmed\, and these recordings may be used for promotional and marketing purposes without compensation. These images and recordings may be published on our website\, social media\, or other marketing materials.

SUMMARY:LIVE MUSIC with Vox Rea
DESCRIPTION:Meet Vox Rea!\nWhat’s the secret behind a long history of successful sibling bands? Vulnerability. Sisters Kate and Lauren Kurdyak take this to heart with Vox Rea\, a project defined by its intimate portrayal of the complexities of the human experience. Raised in Vancouver\, BC\, they spent their childhood learning music from their grandmother\, a piano teacher\, librarian and choir conductor who planted the seeds for a lifelong obsession with the arts. \nIn 2022\, Vox Rea released their eponymous album. Steeped in layers of vocal harmony and synthesizers\, the album’s lush sonic landscape marked an ode to existential dread and introduced the band as “noir pop philosophers pondering the big questions that keep you up at night.” (The Georgia Straight) \nWith influences that range from Florence + the Machine to Friedrich Nietzsche\, Vox Rea focuses on art as an experience as opposed to a product. “The project’s comprehensive aesthetic is very Through the Looking-Glass; the kind of brooding\, cinematic lushness that might start crackling out of an antique radio or relinquish a forest nymph from several lifetimes trapped inside a haunted jewelry box.” (EXCLAIM) \nSince the release of their first single “Dose Me Up” in 2020\, Vox Rea has garnered over 1 million streams on Spotify\, and their music has been added to various editorial playlists\, including New Music Friday Canada\, Indie All Stars\, and Fresh Finds. Their music has also found its way into the world of television\, including syncs on shows like Netflix’s Sweet Magnolias and Orphan Black. \nThe sister duo tours extensively across North America\, the UK\, and Europe\, bringing their captivating live show to an impressive roster of festivals including SXSW\, Reeperbahn\, Treefort Music Fest\, Tallinn Music Week\, Laketown Shakedown\, Rifflandia and Capitol Hill Block Party. \nVox Rea is our PEAK BC Artist of the Month for July! Check out their song\, ‘Oh Mama’\, and hear it all month long on THE PEAK! \n  \nFriends Day presents Vox Rea \nStanding show 10pm – 11pm \nDoors 9pm come early for a drink before the show. \n
