Andrea Lebel has been scribbling on blank paper since she was a child. Having grown up in rural Northern Ontario, usually barefoot with a pencil in hand, the magic and mystery of the world have been the fuel for Andrea’s creativity. She loved to write and illustrate short stories, and her imagination spilled out through words and colour. Andrea draws her inspiration from the largest trees to the smallest creatures and every type of flora and fauna in between.
As she grew older, art–like nature–remained a constant in Andrea’s life. Her move to the mountains in 2018 re-ignited her creative spark. With her two dogs by her side, she goes to the deep green forests and mountain peaks for the ever-changing inspiration of creating something.
Andrea is a self-taught artist and sees her art as creative chaos. She paints primarily with watercolours and digital art, but she is constantly experimenting and playing with different themes, styles and mediums. Sometimes it’s beautiful. Sometimes it’s weird. Sometimes it’s both. She’s known for her bright colours, flowing landscapes, and unique take on the world around her.
